We are thrilled to announce the successful completion of the Perse Sports Centre! The opening last week highlighted the Centre’s unique design, comprising a ‘wet’ side; with a pool, a ‘dry’ side with a sports hall and climbing wall, and a central atrium that fosters connectivity. The centre is now open for public use for all of the community to enjoy!
Saunders Boston thanked the great team that came together to deliver this amazing project that will be a legacy for The Perse School pupils and the surrounding community for years to come.
Martin explained the external treatment of the building "The new sports centre will be the training ground for pupils to go and explore the corners of the world. The coloured bricks laid in a motion configuration - brown and green bricks representing earth, dark blue water and light blue and white the sky – these are all areas that The School’s Exploration Society encounter on their trips. The purple bricks represent The School themselves exploring these elements."
