SBA has handed over the first of a series of exciting projects on the Fordham Abbey estate. The recently completed sake store provides storage for 1850 bottles of premium sake brewed at the on-site Dojima brewery. The refurbishment project has taken a near derelict potting shed and reinvented it as a key part of the estates new industry.
The storage is part of the brewing process and requires complete darkness together with fluctuating temperatures linked to the seasons. Clients are intermittently invited to visit for tastings and experience the space. Lighting has been a key component in creating a space full of texture and drama with purpose designed joinery and integral LED lighting.
