Saunders Boston Architects were appointed alongside D&B fit out contractor A&S Enterprises to complete the design and delivery of this specialist-led veterinary referral hospital on behalf of IVC Evidensia Referrals, offering state-of-the-art equipment and multiple referral disciplines.
The hospital itself will provide veterinary referrals only, and a 24-hour emergency care service for pet owners in the local area. The site has easy access from the A38 through Longbridge, and is part of the West Longbridge regeneration project. The project has recently commenced on site, with completion due in late 2023.
Facilities provided include:
- Wards spaces
- Intensive care unit
- Oncology treatment area
- State-of-the-art diagnostic imaging suite
- Large operating theatres
- Dedicated emergency and critical care space (for out of hours service)
There will be extensive car parking, with a very modern and environmentally friendly building incorporating solar panels, EV charging points in the car park, air source heat pumps, and green spaces with vegetation.
