SBA are pleased to announce that Planning Approval has been recently secured for a new Extra Care scheme comprising 91 apartments and 16 Bungalows located in Harleston, Norfolk for Saffron Housing Trust. The Extra Care parcel forms part of a wider development which will deliver a further 350plus residential dwellings, Public Open Space and land for Community use.
The Extra Care scheme will act as a gateway into the development as a whole and careful attention has been given to how the built forms sits within the associated landscape areas; and the wider green infrastructure to ensure that pedestrian linkages and ecological enhancements are maximised.
The apartment building itself will form a hub for the Extra Care development and will contain an Entrance Foyer, Residents Dining Area, Residents Lounge, Residents Bar, Office Space, Salon, Scooter Stores, Multi-function Room, Assisted Bathing Suite and Guest Suite.
The buildings have been carefully designed to minimise energy use by adopting a fabric first approach to optimise thermal performance; whilst also incorporating green technologies such as MVHR, ASHP’s and PV panels.
100% of units within the new Extra Care development will be available as affordable tenure, with a mix of typologies available to appeal to a wide spread of potential residents in the local community.
The project is due to start on site early Spring 2024 and we look forward to sharing the project throughout its stages of development.
